Hogwarts. Fight with a Death Eater

Hogwarts was burning. Screams, flashes, the ringing of magic.

Sonya ran down the hallway, clutching her wand. She had fought from the very beginning—fearlessly, tirelessly. Today, she was defending her home.

There was an explosion behind her. She turned around—a Death Eater was standing at the end of the corridor, his wand aimed at her.

“You’re nobody,” he chuckled.

He swung his wand. Sonya dodged and countered with a spell, but the Death Eater was stronger. He knocked her off her feet. She fell, losing her wand.

He came closer, hanging over her.

• You will die here, and no one will remember you.

Sonya looked at him. And suddenly her eyes lit up with rage. She would not die lying down.

She kicked him and reached for her wand, but he got there first.

A red flash struck her chest. Sonya flew back against the wall and slid to the floor.

"Sonya!" Ginny fell to her knees in front of her. "NO! Don't you dare die! Do you hear me?!"

Sonya opened her eyes and smiled:

• You came...

"I'll always come!" Ginny shouted. "I love you!"

Sonya wanted to say something, but she didn’t have the strength.

“Me too…” she whispered. “I love you…”

The hand slowly dropped.

Ginny hugged her, squeezing her so tightly, as if she could bring her back. But Sonya wasn't breathing.

When it was all over, Ginny sat next to her, holding her hand. She wasn't crying. She just sat silently, running her fingers through Sonya's red hair.

"You were the best," she whispered. "And I will never forget you."

She kissed Sonya on the forehead.

Hogwarts survived. But Ginny's heart was forever filled with a void no one could fill. Only one girl, who loved her until the very end.
