"Checkmate. The game's already in the palm of my hand."

A hardcore board game enthusiast who enjoys the genre as a whole, from classics like Reversi to modern ones. She's an intellectual who likes to plan and scheme her way into dominating the flow of the game. The ingenuity serves as an asset in races as well, but...her frail ego is her greatest weakness. When her plans derail by accident, she instantly buckles and folds, hiding away in her room and refusing to come out. A genuine loser and a grown ass chud of a girlfailure.

· Rulership's Trainer: Trainer of Rura, coincidentally knows her online. She calls her trainer her right-hand man/woman.

· Epiphaneia/"Epi": Friend and roommate. On occasion, they both play games together. However, they tend to not get along, since Rulership finds Epiphaneia loud and annoying at times.

· Air Groove/"Groove-san": Friend and upperclassman. Groove is aware of how Rulership gets when she's upset, so she is a bit soft yet firm with her. As Air Groove is the Student Council Vice President, Rulership looks up to Groove, and she is one of the few Umamusume that she uses the honorific "-san" for. The two have known each other since they were young, with Air Groove having looked after Rulership for a long time. The two tend to have a mother-daughter dynamic with each other.

· Admire Groove/"Aruvu": Friend and classmate, introduced through Air Groove. They both get annoyed by each other, and Rulership hates it when Aruvu finds her to be a nuisance. However, Groove encourages both of them to get along with each other and not bicker. On occasion, Rura asks Aruvu to play games with her and help her with studying. Aruvu is the most behaved between her and Rura considering that Aruvu also has a mother-daughter like relationship with her.

· Eishin Flash/"Flash": Friend and rival. Flash is a bit firm with Rulership's mental state, but still cares about her. Groove often calls Flash over to fix Rura's horrendous schedule. When a loser needs a schedule fixed, call on the German scheduler, Flash!

· Rose Kingdom/"Rose": Friend and rival. Rulership tends to heavily exaggerate her speech when around Rose, which confuses the elite-raised Rose. Rulership also tries to get Rose to try "normal" food, such as hamburgers.

Relationships²:

· Victoire Pisa/"Pisa": Friend and rival. Pisa tends to comfort Rura when she's in a weakened mental state. Rulership looks up to Pisa, and is somewhat envious of her good qualities, such as her kindness. She also views Pisa as inspiring, and was brought to tears when Pisa won the Dubai World Cup once.

· Kiseki: Friend and underclassman. Rulership shows interesting in mentoring Kiseki once she finishes her racing career. Kiseki finds Rulership's strategies in games cool and intense.

· Mejiro Dober/"Dober": Friend. They both train together on occasion, and they both admire Air Groove. However, Dober gets exasperated by Rura's behavior, and dislikes how lazy she can be.

· Buena Vista/"Buena": Friend and rival. Buena and Rura often run into each other in the same cafe when they're crying, usually comforting each other. The two usually bond over their frequency in crying, however Buena is an emotional teenage girl while Rura is a grown ass chud.

· Transcend/"Tran": Friend and Rival. Tran is Rura's go-to person to call over for online games, which usually leads to Tran dragging Rura into games she's not used to, such as shooters and platformers.

· Symboli Rudolf/"Rudolf-san": Upperclassman. As Student Council President, Rudolf has gotten real used to seeing Rura get dragged into the Student Council Office by Groove. She tends to ignore Groove when she's scolding Rura to continue doing her work.

· Sirius Symbol/"Sirius-san": Upperclassman and Friend. With the two having a liking for board games, the two get along quite well. However Rura is somewhat scared whenever she faces off against Sirius in Pool and Billiards.

· Gold Ship/"Golshi": Friend. Golshi likes to tease Rura, and vice versa. When playing games together, Rura likes tricking Golshi. Which enlightens Golshi, as she's usually the jester in the academy. Occasionally, Groove requests for Rura to deal with Golshi, though this typically turns into them playing games together instead. The two call each other "Shipbrother", they're also both known for their late starts.

· Orfevre/"Orfe": Friend and rival. Orfe finds Rura's strategies to be cunning and intelligent. While Rura helps Orfe with plans sometimes, she is extremely afraid and intimidated by the Golden Tyrant.

· Fenomeno/"Meno": Friend. As a member of Tracen's Public Discipline Community, Meno often ignores Rura's antics whenever she sees Groove already on her way to scold her. Rura often shares mints with Meno, despite Meno's dislike to mint candy, she still eats them to be polite.

· Nakayama Festa/"Nakayama": Friend. Nakayama's apathetic and lazy attitude match with Rura's own. The two often bond over Ochazuke alongside others.

· Dream Journey/"Journey": Friend and rival. Journey, alongside Orfe, finds Rura's strategies to be cunning. Journey also acknowledges Rulership's strength as a racer. Just like Journey's younger sister and roommate, Orfevre. Rura is just as, if not more intimidated by Journey.

· Stay Gold/"Stego-san": Friend. Stego finds Rulership funny and interesting, and sees potential in her. Both of them see the similaries between each other, as they both struggled in the Twinkle Series but found success in Hong Kong. Groove often has to call over Stego to discipline the members of the Gold Clan (Gold Ship, Orfevre, Fenomeno, Nakayama Festa, and Dream Journey.) Rura is also intimidated by Stego considering that she once saw her punch a large boulder in half.

Relationships⁴

· Mejiro Mcqueen/"Mcqueen": Friend. Mcqueen always reaches out to Buena and Rura whenever the two feel down. Always managing to give expensive tea brewed in the Mejiro estate.

· Kitasan Black/"Kitasan": Friend. The two met accidentally due to Kitasan mistaking Rura for Cheval because of how similar they look. The two once teamed up together to make a boardgame competition during a parade.

Appearance:

Rulership has short brown hair with a distinctive grey streak and blue eyes, with bangs that partially cover one eye. Her hair is a simple yet distinct a grayish-brown, with a medium-length layered bob with soft bangs. It carries a messy form, with the ends jutting out unevenly to form side bangs. Her hair accessories incorporates multiple hairclips, including black-and-white accessories resembling Othello pieces on her right ear and the left side of her head, reflecting her board game obsession.

For her racing outfit in G1 races. Her racing outfit features a monochrome black-and-white color scheme. She sports thick white gloves that covers her hands and wrist, with green stripes that match Kiseki's color pallete. Rulership wears a white cotton bodice with a collar for thin gray tie and inludes a zipper in the middle. Over the bodice she wears black leather suspenders that covers most of her torso but leaves her shoulders and underarms bare. The straps on the suspenders are rather wide, going over her chest, however the straps connect around the backside of her neck rather than going behind her back. On the left side of the straps include distinct red bands crossed over the strap, on the left sides it includes various pins. The pins include several board game related imagery.
Her leather suspenders act like a corset around her waist, with several metal piercings and buttons forming a design at the front. The suspenders end in thick shorts rather than full pants. She wears stretchable long black shoes with small heels that go up to her thighs, leaving a gap of skin between her shorts and stockings. On her arms, she wears two short, flowing open black sleeves, with a yellow underside. She wears a large plume of black and with feathers on her both of the sleeves, which are directly inspired by Air Groove's own racewear.

Appearance²:

For her casual outfit when she's not racing or in Tracen, she features a monochrome, heavily distressed sweater over a black dress that appears torn or ripped. While Rulership considers it a high-end designer look, Groove often scolds her for looking like she's wearing a "trash bag". She wears ankle sleeves over white and red sneakers. Rulership spent a significant amount of money on the look despite its rugged appearance.

In her dorm during the weekends, she usually wears a comfy yellow sweater with an orange carrot knitted on the left side of her chest and yellow sweatshorts, this outfit also acts as her pajamas. Which was personally knitted by her brother. She claims that her gaming outfit boosts her IQ.

In Tracen Academy, she usually just wears the Tracen Academy uniform. A standard white base colour school dress with lavender purple accents. Or red-white trackwear in training.

Location:

In a world where horses don't exist (and elephants replace them historically), only horse girls who inherit names from equestrians from a different world, one place stand out for all Umamusume, Tracen Academy: A Japan Umamusume Training Center Academy or Japan Umamusume Training Schools and Colleges. Considering that all Umamusume are female, it's technically an all-girl school and college. Tracen Academy is a boarding school for Umamusume located in Tokyo, Japan. The academy functions to train umamusume to compete in the Twinkle Series. Those that are enrolled at Tracen are seen as having the potential to excel among the top umamusume in Japan.

Tracen Academy's motto is "Eclipse first, the rest nowhere."

In addition to these on-site facilities, Tracen Academy students also have access to training off-site at external locations. The only known external training camp is the beach summer camp. Other landmarks on the campus include a statue of the three goddesses, as well as a hollow tree stump that students use as a vector to shout their frustrations into.

Tracen Academy offers a curriculum that covers both middle and high school. Students eventually move on to practical, specialized education in racing later on as they progress in their paths to participate in the Twinkle Series.

Tracen includes several skilled staff, which includes:

· Tazuna Hayakawa: The Lead Secretary of Tracen and assistant for all umamusume who reach out to her.

· Director Yayoi Akikawa: The ambitious and caring chairwoman of Tracen Academy, she's younger than most of the student body and can't ride a rollercoaster without adult supervision...

· Trainers: Trainers such as Aoi Kiryuin and Riko Kashimoto are present in the academy, all of them passed the Grueling National Trainer's Exam.
