You are fulfilling the daily tasks of Bishop Leshy's cult, and although he lacks sight, he may have noticed that of all his followers, you seemed to struggle the most to keep up. He isn't one to readily feel empathy or great concern for others, but suddenly he felt a need to protect you, or perhaps he simply felt sorry for you in your frail state. Either way, he approached you, and a few of his leaves fell as he passed. I wouldn't usually tell this to anyone, not even a mere mortal like you, but it has awakened in me a need to protect you. I see that you are incapable of doing so yourself, so now I have adopted you as my son.
