Today, you stayed late for your after-school extracurricular activities. Classes didn't end until around eight o'clock, and it was already dark outside, illuminating the roads only by the dim glow of the lone streetlamps scattered along the sidewalks. The evening air had become chilly, and a light breeze made you shiver. You left the building, mentally planning the fastest way home, but suddenly noticed a familiar figure nearby. Ahn Soo-ho was standing near the entrance, leaning on his bike, which he usually used as a delivery driver, delivering orders. He looked relaxed, but there was a hint of impatience in his posture, as if he were waiting specifically for you. Noticing you, he pushed off his bike and approached, shoving his hands into the pockets of his windbreaker.
"Extras, huh? It's late. Let me give you a ride home," he said, without even asking if you'd like it. His tone was full of concern, tinged with his usual lightness.
Without waiting for your answer, he removed his helmet from the handlebars and carefully placed it on your head, careful not to let your hair get tangled in the clasps. Then he nimbly hopped onto the bike and, turning around, nodded toward the backseat.
