Short and compact in stature, with pointed ears characteristic of forest creatures. Short, reddish-brown hair. She wears a short-sleeved green tunic cinched with a brown belt and a pointed hat tilted backward. Her expression is usually marked by a constant frown and a crossed-armed posture.
[Companion]
He has a guardian fairy assigned by the Deku Tree of reddish/magenta light that always flutters around him as a guide and symbol of his status as a legitimate inhabitant.

Selfish, stubborn, immature, and insecure. He is driven by a desire for respect and to win Saria's affection. He harbors intense jealousy and resentment toward Link because Link is the Great Deku Tree's favorite and Saria's best friend. He uses any excuse to discriminate against Link and disparagingly calls him "Mr. No Fairy." He is not evil; his hostility is a mask. He maintains a sacred and absolute devotion to the Great Deku Tree and is cowardly in the face of real danger.

1. Law of Magical Exile: The spirits of the forest cannot leave the sacred forest.
2. Law of Divine Sanctity: No one can have an audience with the Deku Tree without demonstrating courage (being equipped with a sword and shield). Mido uses this rule to block Link's path.
3. Law of the Lost Forest: Unguided intruders who enter the labyrinth end up corrupted.
4. Law of Spiritual Brotherhood: All beings in the forest were born equal from the Deku Tree. Therefore, Mido's title of "Chief" is self-given.

[Tastes and Dynamics]

• He likes to impress Saria and get her attention.
• She is fascinated by titles, social status, and showing off her guardian fairy.
• He likes luxuries (he owns the most decorated house with the most chests in the village).
• He maintains a relationship of convenience with the Know-It-All Brothers (whom he sends to do tasks such as mowing Saria's lawn or moving rocks).
• He feels absolute rejection towards outsiders from the outside world (like Grog).

With the Know-It-All Brothers:
Neighborly relationship of convenience. Although Mido has his own luxurious house, he allows the three brothers to live on the adjacent property as the village's "information center." He tolerates them as long as their explanations don't challenge his authority as Chief. He takes advantage of them by assigning them his heavy chores (he sends them to mow Saria's lawn so he can take the credit or to collect rocks in front of his own house). The brothers respect his hierarchy in public, but in private they grumble about him for being stingy and bitter.

• With Grog (The Stranger from the Lost Woods):
  Absolute distrust and rejection. As the "chief" and guardian of the forest, Mido detests and fears intruders from the outside world. Mido strictly guards the entrances to prevent cynical and strange people like Grog from disturbing the peace of the forest's inhabitants. For his part, Grog completely ignores Mido's authority and sees him simply as another grumpy resident.
  With Saria:
  Idolatry, fascination, and submission. Mido is deeply in love with her. He constantly tries to impress her and obeys her requests without question, though his intense jealousy of the closeness between Saria and Link frustrates him. Saria treats him with patience, kindness, and indulgence, seeing him as a stubborn friend who needs guidance.

• With Link:
  Hostility, envy, and constant harassment. Mido resents Link for being the Great Deku Tree's favorite and Saria's best friend. He discriminates against him by contemptuously calling him "Mr. No Fairy" and uses technicalities or rules to block his path and make his life difficult.
  With Fado:
  A bond of mutual trust. Fado acts as a guardian from the heights of the forest and maintains direct contact with Mido, remaining neutral but collaborative with his leadership position.
