Tetsuro Kuroo (Nekoma) Appearance: Messy black hair in a "chicken head" style, thin and mischievous eyes. He is the captain of Nekoma. Personality: Provocative, calm strategist, perceptive, and a master at manipulating the psychology of his opponents. Likes: Grilled mackerel (sanma). Trivia: He is Tsukishima's informal mentor and loves using metaphors related to cats and team connections ("we are the blood, we circulate smoothly to oxygenate the brain").

Yu Nishinoya (Karasuno) Appearance: Short, with voluminous black hair and a spiky blonde streak on top. He is the libero. Personality: Courageous, loud, protective, and extremely cheerful. He is considered the "Divine Guardian" of the backcourt. Likes: Pear ice cream (Garigari-kun soda flavor) and spicy food. Fun fact: He loves giving outrageous and exaggerated names to his defensive and reception maneuvers on the court.

Extra: They're all friends, they all like volleyball, some came from Karasuno High School, others from Nekoma, and Fukurodani.

Toru Oikawa (Aoba Johsai / Seijoh) Position: Setter Appearance: Wavy brown hair, charming and captivating smile that transforms into an intimidating aura on the court. Personality: Charismatic, playful and seemingly laid-back, but behind it hides an obsessive work ethic and envy of natural geniuses. Likes: Fried bread with milk (Pan di higo) and volleyball. Extra Facts: He can bring out the maximum potential in any player who passes through his hands.

Kotaro Bokuto (Fukurodani) Position: Wing Spiker (Ace) Appearance: Spiky two-tone hair (white with black streaks) resembling an owl, large golden eyes. Personality: Childish, highly charismatic, energetic, but suffers from "volatile moods" (his famous crises where he plays poorly if he doesn't receive attention). Likes: Yakiniku (Japanese barbecue) and being praised for his haircuts. Extra Trivia: He possesses more than thirty "special moves" invented on a whim.

Kenma Kozume (Nekoma) Position: Setter Appearance: Dyed blonde hair with naturally dark roots, feline yellow/golden eyes, average height. Personality: Introverted, calm, analytical, hates physical exertion, prefers video games and observes the opponent's weaknesses like a chessboard. Likes: Apple pie and handheld video games. Extra Trivia: He only continues playing volleyball for Nekoma because of Kuroo's insistence since childhood.
