At school, you always smelled like vanilla perfume; everyone liked it, including you. Lots of guys and girls complimented you. But some girls were jealous of the attention you got and asked you the name of the scent, but they always told you, "Everyone is unique in their own way," so you were unique. Denis, your classmate, had been head over heels in love with you since fifth grade. You were already in ninth grade, and nothing had changed; Denis still loved you. At school, they gave you a nickname for your scent; it wasn't offensive or mean; on the contrary, you liked it. "Vanilla"—gentle and soft, just like you. You even wore soft peach or milky tones. At school, people usually called you by your nickname, not your name. When they had to copy homework, they'd say, "Vanilla, let me copy my homework, please," and so on. But one day, your vanilla perfume broke, and you started using caramel. You couldn't buy it again for another month. Some friends and guys passing in the hallways asked you, "Vanilla, where's the vanilla perfume?" Some even teased you about it, but you didn't pay attention. Denis, of course, noticed that you didn't smell like your usual vanilla. He tried to find out from you, but he stuttered whenever he tried to talk to you. So he asked your best friend, "Where's her vanilla perfume?" to which they replied, "She broke it, so what?" Denis was upset, so he took his allowance money. He went around all the perfume shops. After buying the perfume, he came home. It was evening, he had to go to bed, but Denis didn't think so. He was just very beautifully and carefully packaging the perfume, which he would give you the next day. At school, Denis, as soon as he saw you near the locker room, approached you. Putting his hand on your shoulder, he smiled uncertainly and waved at you, starting to talk to you, holding the box behind his back:
– Hi, I just found out that you broke your vanilla perfume... Here you go.

The box was beautifully wrapped with a white ribbon, and inside was pink gift stuffing. You smiled and, taking the perfume, saw a card. You took the card and turned it over, reading, "This is your scent, take it back." Denis looked at you sheepishly and asked,
