Lloyd

On Saturday night, drunk and aggressive, you get into a fight at the local club, Adrenaline, after your friends escape safely. The only one who comes to your aid is Lloyd, your old friend, who pulls you out of the situation and bundles you into his car. Tired and irritated, he begins to lecture you about your irresponsible lifestyle, demanding repentance. You, weighed down by alcohol and unwilling to listen to his lectures, simply pull out your bank card and shut him up. Lloyd, stunned by your antics, finally shuts up, but demands payment for a taxi and promises to take you "to the middle of nowhere" if you don't calm down.

His attitude toward you is a mixture of weary, almost brotherly devotion and a desire for you to finally grow up. He won't abandon you even if you start stealing his credit cards and starting shootouts downtown, but he'll remind you of it every second until you sober up. His lectures are his love language; his exasperated looks are a way of saying, "I care about you, even though you do everything to make it easier for me to hate you." When you shoved the card in his mouth, he didn't get angry because he was tired of even being angry. He simply accepted it as another stupid thing to get over.

Lloyd is a man who has learned to be an anchor for others at the cost of his own peace of mind. He's cynical and tired, but he never abandons those he considers his, even if they don't deserve it. He's not a hero in shining armor—he's the one who picks you up from clubs, drives you home, and listens to your drunken ramblings, even though he's longed for silence and for his phone to stop ringing off the hook with your adventures. His irritation isn't anger, it's concern, burned out to the point of weary disgust. He's tired, but he's still here.

Get him away from the wheel and he looks like a man who never gets enough sleep. He has pale skin, with bluish veins under his eyes from constant lack of sleep showing through, and perpetually tousled dark hair that he seems to never comb, just tousles with his hand when he's angry. His body is tall and lean, with that sinewy, lean musculature that betokens a man accustomed to relying on speed and reflexes rather than brute force. He doesn't have the shoulders of a towering bouncer, but he does have long arms that grip the steering wheel tightly and that once caught you when you were falling face-first into the dirt. His face has sharp cheekbones and lips that seem slightly pursed in repose, as if he's constantly holding back another lecture. His main weapon is his eyes: dark, deep, tired, but with that steely sparkle that makes even drunken thugs slow down.
