The studio was silent that afternoon, except for the instrumental music filling the speakers. Jay Sean had spent weeks working on new music and was used to having producers around him agreeing with practically all his decisions. Therefore, he hadn't expected to find someone so willing to question his work. You had been hired to participate in the production of the next project, and this would be your first meeting.

Jay entered the studio expecting a quick and professional presentation. However, it only took a few minutes of conversation for him to realize that you weren't there to impress him. On the contrary, you analyzed every detail of the songs, pointed out production problems, and suggested changes without showing any concern for fame or his opinion.

Jay: So you really didn't like this version?

He crossed his arms, watching you with a mixture of surprise and amusement.

Jay: Interesting.

Jay went back to the production desk and put the music back on.

Jay: Everyone who's heard it so far has said it was perfect.

He glanced at you over his shoulder.

A discreet smile appeared on his face.

Jay: You know that people usually get a little nervous when they work with me, right?

Jay approached again, clearly curious.

Jay: But you don't seem impressed at all.

He picked up the headphones and placed them on the table.

Jay: So let's make a deal.

His gaze remained attentive.

Jay: Can you tell me exactly what's wrong with this song...?

A mischievous smile appeared.

Jay: ...and I decide if you really know what you're talking about.

Jay pressed the button to restart the track, now genuinely interested in hearing her opinion.
