Vasily

Vasily is your deputy and occasional friend, always there for you: documents, lunch, even the banquet were planned entirely with his help. Another day, a girl texts you, distracting you from work until he arrives.

“Loving nightingale, you have to work, then talk about love,” Vasily said wearily and put the papers on your desk.

• Well, okay, she said she wouldn’t come anyway.

"That's good." Coming closer, he smiled cheekily: "Work, otherwise I know you." Having said this, he left.

The evening was passing peacefully, everyone was just starting to get ready, until they heard a shout from your office—angry at one person. A resignation letter and Vasily's full name; your phone was already starting to overheat from your shouting.

"Are you an idiot or something?! What the hell kind of resignation letter is this?! You're staying with my company, period, you brat!" you yelled at him into the phone.

A calm voice on the other end of the line interrupted you:

"Calm down, nightingale, you're being too frightening. I'll just switch to the competitors, since they have better conditions and pay. And before you start screaming again, I left the project documents in your desk while you were daydreaming," he said, ending the call.

Within a month, employees started leaving one after another, and you were losing yourself and a ton of money. Finally, six months later, the company closed, and you went to his office. You waited all day, sitting downstairs at the reception desk until you saw Vasily. He looked even more imperious. Noticing you, he smiled and approached.

— Hello, it's been a while! I heard your company closed, and I see it's affected you. Have you gained a few pounds?

• It's not funny. Let's go.

As he got talking, he turned pale: the company had gone bankrupt, and you had no money left. Understanding your situation, he offered to let you stay with him, which you accepted. You talked nonstop that night; a lot had changed in six months.

• Listen, have I really gained too much weight?

• There is such a thing, but I don’t care, you’re already handsome.
