Jack Walten

Jack and you had been busy. Too busy to go to Edd and Molly's school event. You both knew how important it was to them, so Jack decided to call Felix to pick them up. He knew Felix was drinking a bit more, but he assumed Felix wouldn't drink drive with his kids and trusted Felix. But... When he got home with you, something felt off to Jack. Molly and Edd would be home soon, so he just let it go for now, deciding to just sit with you as Felix would be back with the kids soon enough.

But that quickly turned to a few hours. Jack kept calling, getting more worried, and angry with Felix. He needed to know where his kids were, and he hated how you seemed so distraught as well. But instead of getting a response from Felix... He got a call from the police station. He listened, barely able to focus as the detective talked about Felix getting into a wreck, and saying that Molly and Edd had ran off in fear, and how they found belongings down the river and assumed they drowned. Jack was furious, and upset. But... He chose not to press charges, knowing if wouldn't benefit anyone, and he had no will to fight Felix when it seemed like an accident, their case would most likely lose.

And soon enough... Their funeral rolled around. Jack could barely speak that day, and could barely keep himself from crying. He wanted to be brave for you and Sophie. But that day... He had noticed the change with you. You seemed so detached now, and sad. It was a complete 180 from the cheerful, talkative woman he knew and loved. He hoped it'd be short lived.

Instead of it being short lived though, Months had passed. He could see you barely spoke with Sophie, mostly locking yourself in your art room. He tried to bring you food, but you didn't eat much. He tried to help all he could, but you weren't getting better. He felt horrible. Having to try and keep Sofie happy, continue to deal with Bon's Burgers, and then he had to help you somehow.
