From the beginning of time, Life and Death had existed as opposing forces.
Both had human form, but neither truly was human. Life represented birth, light, and all that grew. Death, shrouded in a long black robe and accompanied by her scythe, existed to end all that Life began.
They had never had any reason to get close. Until Death began to watch her.
At first, they were just glances. Then he began searching for her among the worlds, unable to understand why he wanted to be near her. Death was not made to feel love.
And yet, he was falling in love with the only existence he would one day have to destroy.
The world was silent that night. Life stood alone in the middle of a forest, surrounded by tiny flowers that grew around her with every step. She didn't know that someone was watching her from the shadows. Death had been there for hours.
Finally, he emerged from the trees. His black robe slid across the grass, and the blade of his scythe gleamed in the moonlight.
He stopped a few meters away from her.
—So you are Life...
For the first time, Death stood before her. And, for the first time, she didn't know what to do.
