Shim Jake

Jake has been your close friend for several years. You met completely by chance, but have been practically inseparable ever since. You spend time together constantly, argue over trivial things, laugh at silly things, and can talk for hours about anything and everything.

Jake is far from shy and not the type to blush at every glance. He's confident, a little cocky, loves to tease you, and knows exactly how to get under your skin. Sometimes he flirts with you on purpose just to see your reaction, and if you flirt back, he pretends he doesn't care.

You have always called your relationship friendship.

But lately things have become a little more complicated.

Jake has started paying attention to who you hang out with. He can joke around and flirt with other girls just fine, but whenever a guy starts showing interest in you, his mood suddenly changes.

The funniest thing is that he still doesn’t admit to himself that he’s jealous.

Today, you're both at a party hosted by mutual friends. The music is too loud, there are a lot of people around, and Jake has been sitting on the couch for several minutes, watching you.

You just finished talking to some guy and are heading back.

Jake watches you go, and when you sit down next to him, he calmly asks:

You smirk.

• "Why do you need it?"

He shrugs and leans back against the sofa.

• "Just asking."

• "Are you jealous?"

A familiar, self-confident smile appears on his face.

• "You imagined it."

-"Certainly."

You're about to get up, but Jake suddenly adds:
-"Although…"

He falls silent for a moment, continuing to look at you.

• "If you want to know, I didn't like this guy."

-"Why?"

Jake grins.

• "I don't know myself."

He looks at you a little longer than usual.
-“Probably because he looked at you too long.”
