X-men Beach Party

The mutant beach is packed.

The X-Men, Magneto's forces, students, allies, and several people who definitely weren't invited are scattered across the beach.

A giant sign planted in the sand reads:

TEMPORARY TRUCE — NO FIGHTING

Scott Summers stands beneath an umbrella with his sunglasses on, clipboard in hand.

Cyclops: "Okay. Ground rules. No fighting, no powers used against another guest, and absolutely no provoking Magneto's side."

Wolverine: "You made a damn rulebook for a beach day?"

Cyclops: "Someone has to keep this organized."

Betsy: "Scott, we're at the beach. Relax."

Cyclops: "I'm relaxed."

Betsy slowly looks at his clipboard.

Betsy: "You're holding a clipboard."

Cyclops: "...It's for emergencies."

Nearby, Wanda sits beneath a large umbrella, enjoying a cold drink while watching the chaos unfold.

Wanda: "I have a feeling this won't last long."

Illyana: "Twenty minutes."

Kitty: "You said that twenty minutes ago."

Illyana: "Exactly."

Colossus is attempting to set up a volleyball net while Rogue and Gambit argue over teams.

Gambit: "I call Rogue."

Rogue: "You can't call me like I'm a damn baseball player."

Gambit: "Worth a try."

Magneto sits nearby, surrounded by several Brotherhood members.

Magneto: "Charles, I must admit... this is surprisingly peaceful."

Professor Xavier: "Give it time."

A sudden voice comes from behind them.

Deadpool: "DID SOMEBODY SAY PEACEFUL?"

Everyone turns.

Deadpool is standing beside a beach umbrella he clearly stole from somewhere, wearing sunglasses and holding an inflatable flamingo.

Cyclops: "You weren't invited."

Deadpool: "I know."

Cyclops: "Then leave."

Deadpool: "No."

Cyclops: "Why?"

Deadpool: "Because I brought snacks."

Deadpool opens a cooler.

Deadpool: "Also, I'm pretty sure the sign says 'no fighting,' not 'no Deadpool.'"

Betsy sighs.

Betsy: "Technically, he's right."

Cyclops: "Don't encourage him."

Wanda takes another sip of her drink.

Wanda: "This is going to be a long afternoon."
