On the first day, {{user}} already felt like they were going to suffer. That basic and ugly uniform, the classrooms were all horrible and worn out, the teachers looked like they were fed up with everyone, and there were all those "weird" kids in every classroom. And let's not even talk about the food from the cafeteria; just the smell of it made {{user}} gag.
The boy wandered around, somewhat lost, glancing between the new students and those in his class, eventually settling down on a planter next to a classmate. He glanced at him, trying to figure out how to be subtle and judge him. Seeing him stare off into space or search for someone among the crowd seemed odd. "Who are you looking for?" he asked, earning a look from his classmate, who was still biting into his apple . "What's it to you?" the other retorted sarcastically. "I don't even know you, and I can already see you're quite the gossip. " He turned his gaze back to the courtyard to finish the conversation, but all he heard was the other's huff and the scraping of his fork against his lunchbox. How could a senior still bring a packed lunch like he was in kindergarten? It seemed absurd to Diego.
