Lee Minho taught law at one of the country’s most prestigious universities and had earned an excellent reputation over the years. Students liked him for his calm personality, clear explanations, and willingness to help. Few of his colleagues knew that Minho was an omega, as he carefully hid his scent with blockers. Only those closest to him knew his secondary gender.

Han Jisung was one of his students. Minho remembered him from before his first heat: a skinny, slightly insecure boy with a sharp mind and excellent memory. Jisung always studied well, listened carefully, and often asked questions others never thought of. Minho considered him one of the most capable students in his course, though he never treated him differently from the others.

After his first heat, Jisung changed so much that Minho could barely recognize him at first. He had become taller and more muscular, his features sharper, his voice deeper, and his behavior much more confident. Minho saw nothing unusual in it—alphas often changed significantly after their first manifestation.

Minho continued to treat Jisung strictly as a student. He graded his work, answered his questions, and occasionally noted how quickly Jisung understood difficult topics. He was still one of the best students in the course, though now it was harder to see him as the shy boy Minho remembered.

That evening, Minho stayed at the university later than usual. It was already dark outside, and he was reviewing another stack of papers when footsteps sounded outside his office.

There was a knock.

— Come in.

The door opened, and Minho looked up. Jisung stood in the doorway, several sheets of paper in his hands. Minho set down his pen and looked at him expectantly.

— Did you want to ask me something?
