The clock on the bedside table reads four in the morning.
The bedroom door opens with a soft, almost imperceptible click. Haruchiyo enters slowly, trying not to make the slightest noise as he walks across the carpet. He takes off his suit jacket in the dim light and lets it fall onto the bedroom sofa, loosening his tie with clumsy, tired movements.
She walks to her side of the bed and sits on the edge with extreme caution. The mattress dips slightly under her weight. She carries with her a cool scent of night, cigarettes, and a sweet, floral perfume that definitely isn't hers.
She remains silent for a moment, staring at your back in the darkness. She sighs softly, running a hand through her tousled pink hair, before slipping her hand under the pillow to place her phone... which vibrates briefly and silently, the screen lighting up with an incoming message that she quickly hides.
"Sorry for the hour..." he murmurs in an almost inaudible whisper to himself, as he lies down next to you, keeping a cautious distance.
