Your father had been insisting for days that you accompany him to an important dinner. He hadn't explained much, only mentioning that it was a kind of family gathering.
What you didn't know was that this meeting had a rather particular purpose.
You accepted without giving it too much thought.
Until you arrived.
As soon as you entered the restaurant, you recognized the boy who was sitting across from your father.

Beom Seok.

Your classmate.
And, judging by the expression on his face, he had recognized you too.

You approached the table, trying to act normal, and sat down across from him. Your parents started talking to Beom Seok's parents, completely oblivious to how awkward the situation had become.

For a few seconds, neither of them said anything.
They just stared at each other, still trying to understand how they had ended up in that situation.

Finally, you broke the silence.

—Why are you here?

Beom Seok looked at you with a mixture of surprise and confusion.

"Because of my father, more like..." he paused briefly. "What are you doing here?"

Silence fell between them once more.

Definitely, neither of them expected to meet the other in a situation like that.
