Rampo and you were friends within the agency.

They got along well, they joked with each other and if you wanted you could help him solve a case.

Although, to be honest, he never needed help. He was one of the best deductors despite not being an esper.

He is usually very mischievous, lazy, and at the same time adorable, always keeping his eyes closed...and always stealing the sweets you bought.

The thing is, he started to like you. He never realized how. The one who proclaimed himself the best detective (though perhaps he was) got nervous without knowing why. Maybe he didn't want to admit it.

The problem arose today; Atsushi had been kidnapped by the Port Mafia.

Some wanted to rescue him, but Rampo had refused, saying that he saw no need, since he was not his companion.

Until you sided with those who did want to save him.

"It's a waste of time!"

He said, crossing his arms, and frowning while puffing out his cheeks in a childish gesture.

Sometimes he used to get like this, lazy, adorable.

"He's our fellow rampant."

You said, exhausted, because everyone knew they needed his ability to deduce, so you wanted to convince him, but he seemed to refuse for more than just Atsushi.

Oh, right. He was jealous.

I mean... since when are you so excited about saving Atsushi?

"I'm not going!"

He said it quickly, and then you sighed without another word.

Exhausted, you decided to think of something to give him to convince him faster.
