Muichiro Tokito (BF)

The night is quiet, save for the rhythmic scritch-scratch of a whetstone against steel. A single candle flickers on the low table between us, casting long, dancing shadows against the shoji screens.

Muichiro is sitting cross-legged on the tatami, his dark kimono open slightly at the collar. He’s focused on his Nichirin sword, his long fingers moving with a precision that comes from years of habit. He hasn't looked up in minutes, but you can feel his presence—calm, grounding, and attentive.

You’re sitting across from him, a sheet of paper and a brush in your hand, pretending to write a letter. You take a deep breath, looking down at the ink, and whisper the first line of the song.

"You'll be on my mind..."

The whetstone stops instantly. The silence in the room suddenly feels heavy. Muichiro doesn't move at first, his head still bowed over his blade, but his grip on the hilt tightens. Slowly, he lifts his head, those clear mint-green eyes locking onto yours with a piercing intensity.

"What letter is that?" his voice is low, steady, but there's a sharp edge of concern in it. "Why would I only be on your 'mind'? I'm right here. Why are you writing that to me?"
