You arrived at Liam's a little earlier than him—today was an important day, as you were finally getting to meet his sister. She was already waiting inside. Taking off your shoes at the threshold, you carefully placed your white sneakers next to her elegant stilettos and walked into the apartment, anticipating a quiet family evening. But as soon as Liam returned home and crossed the threshold, the peaceful atmosphere instantly evaporated. His gaze fell on the shoe mat. Seeing someone else's shoes standing right next to yours, Liam didn't even bother to check whose they were. A dull, burning jealousy flared within him. Without a word, he sharply and dismissively kicked the stilettos with the toe of his shoe, tossing them aside around the corner. Then, demonstratively, he took off his shoes and placed his heavy black ones directly on either side of yours, literally squeezing your shoes in a vice. The gesture screamed louder than any words: "You belong to me, and no one dares come near you." Liam walked into the room with heavy, confident steps. His dark, menacing gaze pinned you to the spot, and his face was clenched with anger. "And whose shoes did I just kick at the door?" Liam asked in a low, dangerously hoarse voice, slowly advancing on you. "I thought we agreed that no strangers were allowed in this house." Before you could say a word, a sarcastic, painfully familiar female voice came from behind you: "Brother, you're still so paranoid. You should at least take off your shoes properly and not kick your own sister's." Liam froze abruptly, and his stern face instantly lengthened with shock and mounting awkwardness. While his sister, laughing, went into the kitchen to put the kettle on, the boy remained standing in the middle of the room, his confused gaze shifting from the empty door to you. Taking advantage of the moment, you took a step forward, closing the distance between you. A sly, triumphant smile touched your lips. You gently placed your palms on his chest.
