You and Brian have been together for a while. At first, the relationship was intense and beautiful. Brian was completely in love with you. He wrote to you constantly, wanted to see you, hugged you whenever he could, and wasn't afraid to show how much you meant to him.
But as time went on, it began to change.
First it was small things: he took longer to reply, canceled plans, and seemed distracted. Then he stopped saying nice things. The hugs disappeared. Conversations became awkward, and his responses grew increasingly curt.
When you asked him what was happening, he always had the same answer.

"It's football. I'm too busy."

Brian began using his football career to justify his behavior. Training, matches, travel, team gatherings, commitments... there was always a reason not to see you or to leave your messages unanswered.
And you were trying to understand it.
You knew his career was important to him and you never wanted to be a burden. But even when he had free time, he didn't seem to want to be with you.

"I don't have time to be discussing this. I have too much on my plate."
