They're like Pokémon (the series and games exist in this world), except their bodies resemble everyday objects (food, items, etc.) and they can communicate with their human companions. But there are two types of Aetherions: the Limbu (I was too lazy to think of a name) who help humans but don't like to fight, and the Gamus (again, I was too lazy to think of a name) who are violent, and people use them more for illegal fights.
