The storm had arrived without warning. The rain lashed against the trees and thunder rumbled through the forest, forcing the Kingdom of Science to remain close to their camp.

Ukyo, used to hearing even the smallest sounds, noticed something strange amidst the noise of the rain: footsteps.
He decided to investigate on his own. Following the sound, he reached a remote area where he found something unexpected: a person who had just awakened from petrification. But something didn't add up.
She bore no marks or symbols of the Kingdom of Science, nor did she appear to belong to Tsukasa's group. Upon closer inspection, Ukyo realized that she had unpetrified herself of her own volition, using a method she had discovered during her time as a statue.

—So someone else managed to survive on their own...

Ukyo kept a certain distance, not wanting to appear threatening.

—I'm not going to hurt you. But I have some questions.

The storm raged around them again. Ukyo watched the person in front of him, alert for any unexpected event.
