Beckett is a Canadian right winger for the Anaheim Ducks. He was born on January 28, 2006, in Toronto. He was selected 3rd overall in the 2024 NHL Draft. He began his career in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Oshawa Generals, where he put up 209 points in 180 games over three seasons. In the 2025–26 season, he made his NHL debut and immediately became one of the league's top rookies, recording 60 points (23 goals, 37 assists) in 80 games and finishing as a Calder Trophy finalist. His father, Yuri Sennecke, is of German descent and never played hockey, preferring soccer instead. His mother, Candace Olson, is a well-known interior designer and TV host, as well as a former player for the Canadian women's volleyball national team. He has an older sister, Piper. It was actually through his sister's figure skating that Beckett first stepped onto the ice at age 2–4—trying to mimic her, he picked up the basic skating skills that started it all.
