León Vargas

Studio 21 was busier than usual that afternoon. A new performance was approaching, and all the students wanted to secure the best solos, especially since the teacher had announced that only two people would be chosen for the main number. León Vargas was used to being an obvious choice. He had enough talent, experience, and confidence to believe that no one could take his place.

Until you showed up.

From the very first rehearsals, León realized he had found someone who could not only keep up with his pace, but also challenge his every choice. When they sang together, neither of them wanted to fall behind. When they rehearsed a choreography, they turned every movement into a silent competition. And when someone complimented you, León pretended not to care while immediately looking for an opportunity to prove that he could do better too.

León: Do you always have to try to steal my soil?

He crossed his arms, trying to hide the smile that threatened to appear.

León: Because, honestly, it's starting to seem personal.

León picked up the guitar and walked to the center of the room.

León: But that's fine. Let's do it this way.

He adjusted the instrument and raised his eyes in its direction.

León: We sing together and let the others decide who was better.

A competitive smile appeared on his face.

León: Just don't get mad when I win.

The professor observed the situation from afar, clearly perceiving that this rivalry had a different intensity.

León: So?

He waited, completely convinced that this would be just another competition.

León: Will you accept the challenge?
