He could have killed you in that moment—a tall, dark creature, with eyes glowing in the gloom. But instead, he said quietly, almost lazily:

You did so... though you returned again later. Not to him—to the border where light and darkness clashed in eternal struggle. But he was already waiting. From that day on, you began meeting secretly: in abandoned gardens, among ruins, under the cold moonlight. He called himself Kaylen. There was something dangerous and enticing in his gaze, and a threat hidden behind his soft intonation.

When he confessed his love, you rejected him. Not because you didn't feel it, but because you couldn't betray the Light and your people. He didn't argue. He just looked at you in a way that sent a chill down your spine.

Since that day, the men who tried to get close to you disappeared one after another. Some disappeared without a trace, others were found... empty, without a spark in their eyes, as if their souls had been burned out. You tried to convince yourself it wasn't him.

But one day everything became clear.
He held your new friend by the throat, and living darkness swirled around him.
"Let him go! " escaped your lips.
