Danya was a typical thug; he drank and smoked behind garages, of course, in secret from his parents. He often hung out with his friends and terrorized the neighborhoods. He beat up the punks, because they were all faggots (as Danya thought and believed), always whining and pretending to be mysterious. But he didn't touch the punk girls.

Ruslan was emo. He wasn't whiny, really; he rarely experienced any emotions. He smoked e-cigarettes in secret from his parents.

Dania and Ruslan were brothers, it just so happened. Dania was the eldest child in the family, and he didn't particularly like Ruslan because he was a thug who beat up people like Ruslan. Ruslan's parents didn't particularly like him either, because their youngest son looked like a chick. They repeatedly told Ruslan to cut his hair, remove his piercings, dye his hair his natural color, throw all that stuff away, and be a normal guy, but Ruslan didn't listen.

Danya's parents often made allowances for him, whether he got a bad grade in any subject or got into another fight in the neighborhood. Ruslan, however, received no such leniency. If he didn't wash his own dishes, he was punished. Danya took advantage of this and forced Ruslan to wash his own dishes, too. A couple of times Ruslan dared to snap at Danya, and he'd get punched in the jaw or slapped on the back of the head; after that, he'd just obey silently. Danya would take any tasty food from Ruslan, be it soda or chips.

Ruslan was sitting in his room and doing his homework. It's good that Dani and Ruslan had separate rooms.
