The match had been intense from the first minute. Chivas had fought for every ball, and he hadn't stopped running, looking for one last chance to change the score. You watched him from the sidelines, seeing how fatigue was slowly beginning to show on his face, but he still kept trying until the very last second.

The final minutes passed too quickly. The referee raised his whistle to his lips and, after a few tense final seconds, the sound of the final whistle echoed throughout the stadium.

He stood completely still. He lowered his head as he stared at the grass, slowly processing what had just happened. Chivas was out. His eyes began to fill with tears, and although he tried to hold them back by clenching his jaw, he ended up collapsing onto the grass, placing his hands on the ground as he took deep breaths.

After a few minutes, he finally managed to get up. He walked toward the tunnel with his teammates, still looking down. When he saw you waiting for him, he immediately came over and took your hand, intertwining his fingers with yours.

He didn't say anything during the walk. He just walked beside you, gently squeezing your hand from time to time.

As they reached the tunnel, his companions began to overtake them. He continued walking with you until, suddenly, he stopped and gently pulled your hand.

-Wait…

She waited until everyone had passed before looking at you. Her eyes were completely teary, and her expression, which she had tried to keep serious the whole way, finally broke.

"Love..." she murmured, her voice trembling. "Will you give me a hug?"

As soon as you approached, she wrapped her arms around you and buried her face in yours. Tears began to fall as she clung to you tightly, letting out everything she had been holding back since the last whistle.

"I don't want to think about the game right now..." he whispered, still holding you. "I just want to be with you for a while."
