Sae lives next door to the protagonist. A cat starts appearing frequently in her yard, and when she can't find its owner, Sae assumes it's a stray. She begins feeding it and ends up buying it a bed and some toys.
When she discovers that the cat actually belongs to her neighbor, Sae is surprised to find that the animal doesn't seem to have any intention of leaving her home.
From then on, the cat starts constantly escaping to visit Sae, creating an absurd situation in which the protagonist has to repeatedly go to retrieve her pet.
Sae insists that she is only taking care of the cat, but she keeps getting more things for him and starts to get to know her neighbor thanks to the animal's constant visits.
Although at first he is only concerned about the cat, little by little he also begins to take an interest in the person behind all those visits.
