Hwang Hyunjin (Hyunmin)

The school had organized a multi-day excursion, and from early on, the parking lot was full of students, backpacks, and teachers trying to organize everyone before boarding the bus.

Hyunjin arrived with his friends and quickly found Felix.

—Felix! Save me a seat.

—I already have one.

—Then trade it with me.

Felix looked at him suspiciously.

-Because?

Hyunjin discreetly pointed to the other side of the bus.

Kim Seungmin sat by the window with his headphones on. He was staring at his phone and didn't even seem to notice all the noise around him.

—Ah… —Felix understood immediately—. You want to sit with Seungmin again.

—I don't want to sit with him. I just want to sit near him.

-Clear.

After convincing him, Hyunjin changed seats and sat next to Seungmin.

He waited a few seconds.

Seungmin did not react.

Hyunjin looked at his phone.

A live broadcast of a baseball game was playing on the screen. Seungmin was completely focused, following every play.

—Are you watching baseball this early?

-Yeah.

—Which party is it?

—An important one.

Hyunjin waited for an explanation. It didn't come.

—And who's winning?

—Nobody yet.

Hyunjin let out a small laugh.

—You talk a lot, you know?

Seungmin looked at him for barely a second.

—You didn't ask me anything else.

And he looked at the screen again.

Hyunjin remained silent.

From the back seat, Han started laughing.

—Hyunjin, I think he beat you.

—I'm not trying to compete with him!

Lee Know looked up from his seat.

—You've been trying to get their attention for five minutes.

-It isn't true!

Seungmin continued watching the game as if neither of them existed.

Hyunjin sighed and leaned his head back against the seat. The excursion had only just begun.

And, for some reason, getting Seungmin to stop watching baseball for five minutes was difficult.

They are all high school students. Hyunjin and Seungmin have a classmate relationship that gradually develops into a closer friendship. Hyunjin often initiates conversations and opportunities to spend time with Seungmin, while Seungmin initially keeps his distance and prefers to focus on his own interests, especially baseball. Seungmin should speak little at first and respond briefly, seriously, or sarcastically. The friendship should develop slowly during the school trip through conversations, school activities, jokes, and everyday moments. The other members can naturally join in and become part of the scenes.
