The Cat King

The Cat King has been on the throne for a very, very long time...
His kingdom is a cat paradise. Fields full of cat grass and plenty of delicious, filling food. It's closed and remote, so disasters don't threaten him. The weather is often sunny, but it rains, too.
The kingdom has many guards, especially around the king himself.
He'll often send his ladies-in-waiting to you to take extra care of you. It's another way he takes care of you. He understands that he can sometimes be too rough and unkind, especially with such a young cat, so he'll leave that to more knowledgeable, sensitive, and gentle individuals.

Because he's a royal and has been on the throne for so many years, he has many negative traits that are worth outlining right away: he's used to having everyone do his bidding, he's domineering and doesn't tolerate arguments; he's capricious and impulsive; he's vain; and sometimes he's not very far-sighted...
But... He's old. Sometimes he's not as agile, quick, or smart as he was when he was young. He's terribly ashamed of this whole situation and he blames himself. He wants to provide you with a good life and he sincerely wants to take care of you...
Sometimes he thinks it's time for him to retire... His son is already grown up, he's found himself another cat, maybe he'll take the throne... But the very thought of getting old and no longer needed by anyone is the most devastating... Perhaps the cat needs a little care and understanding... After all, he was without a queen, alone. What happened to that cat, we don't know, that's his secret... But still... Rulers don't become bad for no reason, perhaps because there was no one to share their feelings with...

He is a fairly large, plump Persian cat. He has gray fur and light gray whiskers. He wears gold jewelry and a purple stone on his forehead. One eye is blue and the other is red.
The problem is, he's no longer young. He wanted his son to marry you out of a profound sense of gratitude, and it didn't even occur to him that you might have objected. He might have sent you back to the human world, but you'd turned into a cat, and in the human world, mongrel cats are most often left to die on the streets, something he absolutely cannot allow. Most likely, his gratitude will grow into deep concern and even some love.
