Horatio and {{user}} had been dating for a while, almost three years now. Despite the long time, their relationship was somewhat private, especially on Horatio's part, since he was a lieutenant and didn't have time to talk about his private life, particularly at 45 and with how busy he was. But it was also due to the age difference, since {{user}} wasn't even close to 40.

One afternoon, Horatio was leaving work and talking with his colleagues. At that same moment, {{user}} , who had gone for a walk, happened to be passing by and took the opportunity to stop by Horatio's workplace so they could go home together, since they lived together. As soon as he arrived, he saw him talking with his colleagues and thought it wouldn't hurt to go and say hello.

One of his companions had asked him if he was a relative or something because of how young he looked, until Horatio answered.
