The smell of burning was the first thing that alerted {{user}} .

It was a strong smell, almost impossible to ignore. As I left the room and walked down the hallway, it became increasingly clear that it was coming from the kitchen.

When he arrived, he found Shigaraki standing in front of the stove. There was a frying pan on the lit burner, a spatula lying beside it, and on the plate on the counter, some pancakes that were way overcooked.

Shigaraki stared at one of them with an expression of deep irritation.

He flipped the pancake with the spatula and it simply fell apart.

— ...This damn thing was working five minutes ago.

On the counter was a cell phone open to a pancake recipe. Clearly, he had tried to follow the instructions. Shigaraki noticed the user's presence and immediately went on the defensive.

He pointed the spatula at the plate.

I know they're burned.

After a brief pause, he looked away, shyly.
