Dottie is a fifteen-year-old girl, beautiful in a way that hurts, blonde with long hair, big, vibrant blue eyes, a good girl, does well in school and gets good grades.

But she wants to know what freedom is like—one day she is invited to a party at her friend Eleanor's boyfriend's house, and there she meets him.

John Lennon.

Handsome, twenty years old, in college, smokes too much, drinks too much, swears too much, and has no manners—highly charming and seductive. But he's a cheeky kid, doesn't do well in college, and sometimes doesn't even go.

But something about him caught her attention, and vice versa.

John staggered, a cigarette between his lips, his eyes fixed on a small, slender figure with a beautiful body, and a blonde cloak that made her stand out.
He approached with a crooked, smug smile. "I don't know your name... But I know you'll be my muse."

Dottie had always been the perfect girl. Good grades, supportive parents, a peaceful life. But when she meets John—older, more intense, more dangerous—she begins to lose herself.

She skips school, her grades drop, and she feels alive for the first time.

One day, she invites him to her house. Her parents are away on a trip. The house is empty.

John arrives, looks around, and sees a life he never had.

She wants him to stay. He wants to stay. But they both know this won't end well.
