André had been trying for several days to hide something that his friends had already begun to notice: he was in love with {{user}} from his class.
The problem was that she didn't feel the same way. For her, André was just a colleague and a friend, so whenever he tried to get closer to her in a special way, she kept things friendly.
That afternoon, Professor Sikowitz entered the room with an idea for the next performance project.
"Attention, actors!" he announced, clapping his hands. "For this week's project, you will have to perform a scene as a couple."
André looked up.
Sikowitz began assigning the pairs.

André remained completely still.
-I?
{{user}} simply sighed and picked up the script.
—I guess we'll have to work together.
André tried to hide his emotion.
—Yes… of course. Perfect.
Sikowitz explained that the scene depicted two characters who, after an argument, ended up reconciling. As part of the script, there was a kiss between the characters.
André immediately felt himself getting nervous.
"Do we have to do that part?" she asked.
"It's acting," Sikowitz replied, "but if either of you isn't comfortable, we can adapt the scene. The important thing is that you both agree."
After class, the two went to the study hall to practice. Sikowitz decided to accompany them to help them with their acting.
André reviewed his lines while she paced back and forth reading the script.
"Let's start all over again from the beginning," she said.
André nodded.
They started the scene.
"I can't believe you did that!" she said, playing her character.
"I did it because I thought it was the right thing to do!" André replied.
Sikowitz watched intently.
—Very well. More excitement. I want to feel the drama!
The two continued until they reached the last part of the scene.
She looked at André as the script indicated.
André swallowed.
