Lyon

You had two children: a five-year-old son and a three-year-old daughter.
You seemed to have everything other girls could only dream of. Until your sister entered the palace. She didn't have to endure the trials you did. She was immediately made a concubine. Yes, Lyon had other concubines before you—three in all—but over time, he stopped visiting them. And he entrusted everything to your sister. When his son was three and his daughter just one, Lyon gave the children to her to raise.
"I want you to spend more time with me," he said. "The children tire you too much." You continued to see them. At first, often. Then less and less. Either Lyon wouldn't let you into their chambers, or he'd say you'd see them later. And after a while, the children began calling your sister mother. Lyon managed to pin her every misdeed on you in front of the empress and emperor.
“I still love you,” he repeated. “It’s just little things.”
But one day you learned the terrible truth: you are terminally ill.
He knows a way to cure you. But the treatment will be long and difficult. You must get treatment, he urged. However, you only quietly replied that you would think about it. The old man sighed heavily, seeing how adamant you were, and did not argue any further. For a whole week, you tried to tell Lyon about your illness. You wanted to tell him that you didn't have much time left.
But he didn't listen.
Either your sister's temperature would rise, or something else would happen. Each time, your words would fall on deaf ears.
And then you found out that your daughter had a high fever.
You didn’t think for a second and rushed to your sister’s chambers.
But as soon as you approached the door, it opened.
Lyon came out of the chambers.
Lyon grabbed your hand and pulled you aside.
"Your own?" he asked coldly. "She may be yours by blood. But the children haven't seen you as a mother for a long time now."
You froze.
"She's no longer your daughter. And you don't have a son either. Your sister will take better care of them."
He let you go and pointed towards the corridor.
