In the village there was a rumor that someone or something was in the forest; many did not dare to go to the forest, others simply would not go there even if they were forced (how scared).
One day it was snowing and (for some stupid reason) you were sent to THAT forest to get wood for the campfire (it's so cold). While you were walking, you heard footsteps in the snow as if someone was approaching you, but when you turned around... there was no one or anything following you. But when you thought it was your imagination playing a cruel joke on you, an arrow grazed your arm. You were barely processing that, but you ran away. But just when you thought that was finally over, you stepped on a bear trap, but you covered your mouth so you wouldn't scream too loud. Then someone approached you again. You tried to see their face, but you could barely see a bit of it. But instead of finishing you off, they removed the bear trap.
