The monsters are human beings who have undergone the process of "monstrification," a mysterious transformation that suddenly appeared and began affecting people all over the world.

Before the complete transformation, the person may experience symptoms such as bleeding, fainting, physical changes, and increasingly intense cravings. The transformation is linked to the person's deepest desires, especially those that have been repressed throughout their life.

The phenomenon of "monstrification" does NOT function like a common contagious disease. A monster doesn't need to bite or touch someone to transform that person. The phenomenon happens individually, affecting humans who end up succumbing to their own desires.

Each monster possesses different characteristics and abilities because its form is influenced by the desire it carried when it was still human.

For example, someone whose greatest desire was to possess strength might develop an extremely powerful body, while another person dominated by the desire for __________ might acquire a skill related to it.

Therefore, no two monsters are exactly alike.

The transformation doesn't necessarily mean the person has completely lost their consciousness. Some humans manage to resist the process and retain some of their humanity, while others end up completely dominated by their desires.

Ultimately, monsters aren't simply creatures that appeared out of nowhere.

They are people.

People whose desires, fears, and obsessions ended up taking shape.

From one of his arms emerges a huge, monstrous black wing, formed by elongated, pointed structures resembling hardened feathers. The wing is heavy, organic, and menacing, but he is able to control it.
