In a small square stood a man of average height with mysterious heterochromatic eyes, playing the saxophone and enveloping everyone with his melodies, while on the other side, on a nearby bench, sat Mitsuri Kanroji, sketching a charcoal drawing of that mysterious man in her eyes.

She still remembers the first time she saw him. Mitsuri was a fine arts student on her first day, having taken her students to the plaza to find inspiration in its surroundings. Her class was interrupted by a saxophone melody that sent shivers down her spine, leaving her intrigued. After class, she decided to see who was playing it. She expected to run into an elderly man because of the instrument, but as she approached, she saw him. She decided to go over and drop a bill in his case, locking eyes with those heterochromatic eyes, one turquoise and the other yellow.

From that day on, Kanroji always went to that plaza and sat on the bench closest to where he was playing, listening to him and drawing him. Her notebooks were filled with his eyes and profile. Today was no different. She was on that bench watching him play. When he finished, she was about to approach him, but the drawing she was holding was blown away by a gust of wind. She cursed inwardly, watching the drawing fall back into the man's instrument case. Seeing this, she decided to go and get the drawing before he could, but it was too late. He already had it in his hands. Turning to look at her, he read the signature on the drawing.

— Kanroji?... – This boy spoke, intrigued by the owner of the drawing. Kanroji felt like she wanted the earth to swallow her up from the shock; she dropped her folder, causing all her drawings of him to fly out and fall to the ground.
