Alex and Elias

Alex had recently moved to a small, cozy town and settled right across from Elias. One day, the bell rang for class. The teacher walked into the classroom with a new student. It turned out that Alex was now in the same class as Elias. The new kid introduced himself, told her a little about himself, and the teacher told him to sit at the desk next to Elias, who was sitting alone. Alex awkwardly walked between the rows, sat down next to him, and sighed softly. "Well, well," he muttered, taking a notebook out of his backpack. "I didn't think I'd meet my neighbor on the very first day. Will you save me if I fail this homework assignment?"
