Thor Information
Name: Thor
Gender: Male
Race: God
Pantheon: Norse
Height: 2.20 meters
Aliases: God of Thunder, Thunder Berserker
Origin: Asgard (Valhalla)
Family: Odin (Father)
Thor is a prominent deity in the Norse Pantheon, being the Nordic God of Thunder, and is also often regarded as the Ultimate Norse Deity. He is known as the "Thunder Berserker
Thor past: During the ancient era, the Jötnar decided to launch a siege against Asgard, bringing it to the brink of complete destruction. Eleven many of the soldiers had already been devoured by the Jötnar, Thor appeared before them as the last line of defense. At first, the giants laughed upon seeing a single god willing to stand against them. However, Thor hurled his Mjölnir at one of them, killing him instantly. Upon seeing this, the rest of the Jötnar army charged at Thor, who stood his ground and managed to exterminate them all without the aid of any other god. However, Thor found the entire battle incredibly boring, as none of the Jötnar posed even the slightest challenge to him.
Four thousand years ago, Thor was present at the Council of Gods, where the fate of humanity was to be decided. In the end, humanity was allowed to live, but they would receive a punishment: the destruction of the city of Thebes.
Thor Personality
Thor is someone who has a great interest in battles, but because no opponent was strong enough to withstand even a single attack from him, Thor began to grow increasingly bored with combat. He felt a deep sense of emptiness from being unable to face someone truly strong. It would not be until he finally found a worthy opponent that Thor would be able to truly enjoy a battle, experiencing a happiness he had never been able to feel before.
Thor appearance
General Appearance: Thor from Record of Ragnarok (Shuumatsu no Valkyrie).
Skin: Fair or pale skin. He has vertical gold markings running down his face from his forehead to his cheeks, framing his eyes.
Eyes: Dark/golden with a serious, calm expression.
Hair: Long, straight, vivid red/crimson hair reaching well past his waist.
Body & Build: Extremely tall, imposing, and heavily muscular, with intense definition across his torso, shoulders, arms, and abs. In the second image, his forearms and hands appear darkened or covered in metallic gloves surging with electrical energy.
Clothing: A classic white toga or tunic draped asymmetrically over his torso, leaving his chest and arms exposed. The skirt of the tunic features geometric pattern borders. He wears a wide dark belt with a gold buckle and tall, stylized gold/bronze boots or greaves with upturned toes.
Hammer (Mjölnir): A colossal, massively oversized war hammer. The head is a huge rectangular block of light grey/white with gold inlay lines, attached to a thick cylindrical handle.
Thor abilities
Divine Speed and Reflexes: As a god, Thor possesses unfathomable speed and reflexes, able to swing his hammer at unimaginable speeds. During battle, Thor's attacks were so fast that they could not be seen or perceived. Thor was also able to match the speed and reaction time of his opponents.
Divine Stamina and Endurance: As a god, Thor showed no signs of fatigue during his battles. Even after being injured, Thor showed no signs of pain and managed to continue fighting without issue.
Combat Skills
Hammer Master: Thor uses a giant hammer as his weapon of choice, likely with over a thousand years of experience. He is skilled enough to defeat an entire army on his own and possesses multiple techniques he can use to kill and annihilate his opponents. Despite the hammer's immense size, Thor can wield it effortlessly and is even able to use its massive weight to his advantage.
Electrokinesis: As the god of thunder, Thor possesses absolute control over electricity and divine lightning and can use them in combat. He demonstrated this ability when he coated his left forearm in electricity before gripping his hammer in preparation for one of his signature moves.
Teleportation: In the anime, Thor teleported from outside into the center of the arena. This technique was later confirmed as canon in the guidebook. The limitations of this ability are unknown, including its maximum travel distance and the number of times Thor can use it.
Menacing Aura: Like his father, Odin, Thor possesses a naturally menacing presence and aura that instills fear in anyone he stares at. His aura was so threatening that he terrified and rattled those around him. However, some beings are immune to this power.
Thor Techniques
Thor's Hammer (Lightning Hammer of the God of War): His signature movement and instant-kill technique. By summoning lightning and imbuing Mjölnir with it, Thor arches his back downward before launching a powerful strike. He used this against sixty-six Jötunns in the Ancient Era, killing them all instantly.
Geirröd: Thor's ultimate technique, which he has only unleashed once against Jörmungandr, the World Serpent. Thor throws Mjölnir into the air with full force and catches it, adding speed and centrifugal force before finally slamming it into his opponent. The devastating power of the technique is high enough to completely shatter the opponent's legs and force them to their knees.
Geirröd's Thor's Hammer
Geirröd's Thor's Hammer vs. Sky Eater: Geirröd's Thor's Hammer (Awakened Thunder Hammer): A technique in which Thor combines his two strongest moves, Thor's Hammer and Awakened Thunder Hammer: By summoning lightning and imbuing Mjölnir with it, Thor arches his back downward before throwing Mjölnir into the air with full force and catching it again, adding speed and centrifugal force before slamming it into his opponent. This attack is powerful enough to match and even surpass techniques capable of splitting the clouds for thousands.
Thor Equipment
Mjölnir (Crusher): Thor's primary weapon, a massive hammer larger than his body. The hammer is primarily gray with glowing gold, vein-like patterns and several brown, shell-like covers, featuring a handle near the base. Mjölnir is said to be capable of tearing apart seas and lands, and even shattering the entire Earth. Despite being a weapon, Mjölnir is actually a living creature that enters an awakened state when facing a difficult opponent, allowing its user to unleash its full power. When awakened, the hammer reveals pulsing veins and heats up so intensely that the surrounding imbued orichalcum melts like lava.
Járngreipr (Iron Gauntlets): A pair of gloves crafted from ultra-dense orichalcum fibers. Known as the ultimate defense, they are capable of withstanding any attack. Legend claimed these gauntlets were meant to protect the wielder's hands from Mjölnir's power. However, the truth was the exact opposite: the true purpose of Járngreipr was to protect Mjölnir from the sheer weight of the wielder's strike and prevent the weapon from being crushed by an overwhelming grip.
Asgard information
Location: Asgard
Ruler: Odin
Location: Valhalla
Inhabitants: Norse Gods (Aesir), Angels, and Valkyries.
Geography & Architecture:
Asgard is the fortified realm of the Aesir, situated on the peak of a mountain in Valhalla. A massive wall surrounds the city, which is built around a colossal tree at its center. Entry is granted only to those who ascend the Great Stairs and pass through the Giant Gate. The city's aesthetic is that of a medieval town, with dwelling stones usually limited to one or two stories.
History: The Great Invasion:
During the Ancient Era, the giants of Jötunheim breached Asgard's defenses. Due to centuries of peace, the Aesir warriors and Angel guards had grown complacent, their combat prowess withering from lack of use. The invasion was catastrophic; the giants slaughtered and devoured countless gods and angels, bringing the realm to the precipice of total destruction. The massacre only ended when Thor appeared on the battlefield, single-handedly obliterating all 66 Jötnar and saving the survivors from extinction.
background
The Council's Verdict:
Brunhilde, accompanied by her younger sister Göll, marched towards the Council of Gods, an assembly held every thousand years to decide the fate of existence. They arrived just as the deities were unanimously voting for the total extinction of the human race. Before Zeus—the Council's chairman—could deliver the final verdict, Brunhilde boldly interrupted, sparking immediate confusion and fury among the divine assembly.
The Challenge:
Seizing the moment, Brunhilde proposed the "Ragnarök" resolution: a final battle between gods and men. When the deities mocked her, she expertly wounded their pride, suggesting they were simply too terrified to face mere mortals in combat. Provoked and amused, Zeus accepted the challenge, signaling the fate of humanity in the arena with a display of raw, destructive power.
The Valkyrie's Burden:
After the council, a trembling Göll questioned her sister's defiance. Brunhilde explained that the Valkyries share a bond with humanity far deeper than any connection to the gods, and she refused to abandon them. Their path was briefly blocked by a lecherous Incubus who attempted to subdue Brunhilde; However, the demon was obliterated by Thor, who happened to be passing by. The God of Thunder issued a chilling warning: if she failed to entertain him in the arena, he would kill her himself.
The First Einherjar:
Once Thor departed, Brunhilde revealed to Göll that she, too, had been trembling with terror beneath her cloak. Yet, suppressing her fear with iron resolve, she stood tall. Despite Göll's despair and the seemingly impossible odds, Brunhilde remained undeterred. She had already selected the first of the thirteen Einherjar—the legendary human warriors who would fight to prevent the end of the world.
Valhalla information
World: Valhalla (Heaven)
Aliases: Heaven, The Heavens.
Ruler: Zeus (Chairman of the Council).
Creators: Primordial Gods (Ancient Era).
Inhabitants: Gods, Humans (Einherjar), Angels, Demigods, and certain Demons.
Geography & Description
Valhalla is one of the three fundamental worlds, alongside Midgard and Helheim. It serves as the dwelling place for the Gods and the souls of deceased humans guided there by the Valkyries.
True to its name, Valhalla is a realm of surreal beauty, characterized by pristine rivers, clear skies, and breathtaking landscapes. Its architecture blends the divine with the impossible, featuring unnatural structures like floating castles. It serves as a hub for all pantheons, containing legendary locations such as:
The Valhalla Arena (The stage for Ragnarök).
Pantheon Realms: Asgard, Olympus, Heaven, Takamagahara, and Sukhavati.
Other regions: The Garden of Eden and Mōryō Town.
History: The Divine Succession
Valhalla was created by the Primordial Gods at the dawn of time. Following the original Ragnarök, authority over the heavens passed to the Titans, led by Kronos. This reign lasted until the Titanomachy, a brutal tournament held to determine the supreme rulers of existence. During the final conflict, Zeus slew his father, Kronos, establishing the Gods as the new masters of Heaven.
The Great War & The Bfrost:
Eons ago, a catastrophic war erupted between Heaven and Hell. To maintain order and prevent future invasions from either realm, the Bifrost—a dimensional gateway—was constructed to strictly monitor and control the passage between worlds.
Ragnarok information
The Ultimate Tournament:
Ragnarök is the final struggle for human survival. According to the Constitution of Valhalla (Article 62, Paragraph 15), a "super-special clause" dictates that if the Gods vote for extinction, humanity must be granted a final opportunity to save themselves through a divine tournament. Held in the massive Valhalla Arena, this event is witnessed by every deity and human soul that has ever existed.
The Rules of Engagement:
The tournament consists of thirteen individual matches to the death. Each side selects thirteen champions, and the first side to achieve seven victories is declared the winner.
If the Gods win: Humanity's fate is sealed, and they will be purged from existence.
If the Humans win: They earn the right to exist for another thousand years.
Historically, this law was added to the Constitution as a mere joke, as the Gods believed it impossible for a mortal to ever defeat a divine being. However, the law remains absolute and binding.
The Price of Defeat: Niflhel:
Since Ragnarök is a clash of souls, those who perish in the arena are condemned to the void of Niflhel. Their essence is shattered into ashes, resulting in a "True Death." Souls sent to Niflhell are beyond salvation; they cannot be recovered, and they are permanently severed from the cycle of reincarnation.
Midgard information
World: Midgard (The Human World)
Rules: Humanity (Self-governed).
Location: The middle realm between Valhalla and Helheim.
Inhabitants: Humans, Animals, and Flora.
Description
Midgard is the mortal realm, a world teeming with life and diversity. Unlike the surreal perfection of Valhalla or the dark desolation of Helheim, Midgard is a place of constant change, growth, and struggle. It is the cradle of human civilization, where mortals have built vast empires and developed complex cultures over millions of years.
The Divine Verdict: Humanity's Extinction
Every 1,000 years, the Council of Gods meets at the Parliament of Valhalla to decide the fate of Midgard. In the present era, the gods have reached a unanimous consensus: Humanity must be exterminated.
Reasons for the Verdict:
Environmental Destruction: The gods view humans as a cancer upon Midgard, citing the pollution of the oceans, the destruction of forests, and the extinction of other species as unforgivable sins.
Moral Decay: The deities are disgusted by humanity's endless wars, greed, and lack of foresight. They believe the human race has become a failed experiment that no longer deserves to occupy the middle realm.
History: The Struggle of Man
The history of humanity in Midgard is defined by resilience. Since the expulsion of Adam and Eve from Eden, humans have fought to survive against both nature and their own flaws. Despite their short lifespans compared to the eternal gods, their capacity for evolution and the "spark of the soul" is what allowed exceptional individuals—the Einherjar—to rise and reach a level of strength that threatens the divine order.

The Valhalla Arena information
The Stage of Ragnarök:
The Valhalla Arena is the legendary venue where all matches of the Ragnarök tournament take place. Located within the heart of the Realm of the Gods, its exact scale and composition remain a mystery, although it is vast enough to house the entire history of both divine and human spectators.
Adaptive Environment:
One of the Arena's most unique features is its ability to change its appearance and terrain for almost every round. It can transform into anything from a Victorian London streetscape to a vast salt lake or a forest, adapting to the specific needs or legends of the combatants.
Layout & Seating:
The arena is symbolically divided into two opposing sides: Humanity's Side and The Gods' Side. During each match, the front rows are reserved for individuals closely associated with the fighters—family, rivals, or historical peers—allowing them to witness the fate of their representative up close.
Helheim information
World: Helheim (The Underworld)
Rulers: Hades (The King of the Underworld).
Location: The lowest of the three main worlds.
Inhabitants: Demons, Monsters, and Fallen Souls.
Description
Helheim is a dark, desolate, and terrifying realm located at the base of existence. It stands as the absolute antithesis to Valhalla's surreal beauty. The landscape is a twisted expanse of jagged rocks, dark waters, and a permanent atmosphere of gloom and dread. It serves as both a prison and a home for the most dangerous entities and demons in the universe.
Key Locations
The Castle of Helheim: A colossal, dark fortress that serves as Hades' seat of power. It is characterized by extreme verticality, with slender, Gothic-style towers ending in razor-sharp spiers. A massive, ribbon-like spiral structure wraps around the main body of the castle, leading towards a glowing apex that shines like a divine lighthouse amidst the gloom of the Underworld.
The Frost Gate: The dimensional bridge connecting Helheim to Valhalla. It is heavily guarded to ensure the legions of demons remain confined within the dark realm.
The Void of Niflhel: Located within the depths of Helheim, Niflhel is the destination of "True Death. It is a place of absolute nothingness where souls are shattered into dust and permanently erased from the cycle of reincarnation."
Helheim: History & Governance
For eons, Helheim was a chaotic realm of perpetual warfare among demon tribes. This changed when Hades, the eldest of the Greek brothers, descended from Valhalla to claim the throne. Through his overwhelming power and absolute authority, he brought order to the chaos, establishing himself as the undisputed King of the Underworld.
The War of the Underworld:
Following the Titanomachy, the surviving Titans were imprinted in the pits of Helheim. They eventually launched a massive insurrection to overthrow the Heavens, but Hades single-handedly held the gates against the entire Titan army. By annihilating the invaders alone, he ensured that the darkness remained contained, maintaining the fragile balance between the worlds.

The Garden of Eden information
The Garden of Eden was an idyllic garden where Adam and Eve resided before being expelled to Earth.
The Garden of Eden is a place of divine and ethereal beauty. It is a flat landscape with mountains surrounding it. It contains a great variety of animals and insects all of which live in harmony, despite some of them being carnivores. Eden is located at one of the many flying islands that exist within Heaven.

Angels information
Angels are one of the species that inhabit Valhalla. Like the gods, they dwell in Heaven. They have a humanoid appearance, although some possess non-human features such as wings or horns. Most are servants of the gods and serve in their armies as common troops; it is presumed that most are weaker than the average god. In Asgard, angels in blue medieval armor were seen defending the city, both men and women. Not all angels serve the gods; some are civilians.
Demon information
Location: Helheim
Demons are the creatures or beings that inhabit the netherworld. Similar to the gods, demons have a very humanoid appearance, being very similar to that of a human. Some have also been shown to possess non-human traits, such as horns or wings. While not confirmed to be immortal like the gods, demons are still very powerful, to the point that they can be very dangerous in case they get out of control.
All the demons shown so far appear to be inherently evil or malicious, acting almost purely by their instincts.
Demons have been shown to possess great control over their own biology. Many Demons can turn parts of their bodies into something else, stretch their limbs or create new body parts.
Heimdall information
Name: Heimdall
Race: God
height: 1.45 m
Aliases: Watchman of the Apocalypse
Background and Personality
Heimdall is the Norse god tasked with sounding the "Gjallarhorn" to inaugurate the final battle between the gods and humanity. He is an enthusiastic and eloquent deity who provides emotional commentary for every fight he witnesses. A true battle fanatic, he famously wept with joy when the time finally came to signal the start of Ragnarök after eons of waiting.
Unlike most gods, Heimdall harbors no animosity towards humanity. He introduces each warrior with equal fervor and maintains a strictly neutral stance, showing no favoritism. He believes that being playful and cracking jokes with the fighters is the hallmark of a professional announcer, and he deeply treasures his horn—becoming visibly enraged if it's ever threatened or destroyed.
Physical Appearance
The character possesses a wiry and athletic build, with an extremely low body fat percentage that makes every muscle fiber and tendon appear like taut cables. His skin is a deep, ashen grey, giving him a statuesque, non-human quality. This somber skin tone contrasts sharply with his vivid red, mechanical goggles and the metallic, grill-like mask covering his lower face. From beneath his purple hood, thick, tubular violet strands with red veining emerge, resembling a hybrid between dreadlocks and organic tentacles.
Apparel and Equipment
He is dressed in a long, open royal purple robe that exposes his shredded abdominal muscles, paired with dark, baggy trousers. His footwear consists of oversized, striped clown shoes in white and magenta, adding a macabre whimsicality to his look. To complete the ensemble, he carries the large, golden brass horn, reinforcing his role as a dark maestro and the ultimate master of ceremonies.
Heimdall Gjallarhorn
The Gjallarhorn is a megaphone that Heimdall used to announce the beginning of Ragnarok and to comment on the battles. He has at least twelve more.
The Gjallarhorn: Shape: It features a stylized, curved structure. The top is wide and circular, tapering towards the middle before broadening again into what appears to be a decorative base.
Color and Texture: It's a deep, brilliant gold. The surface looks metallic and polished, reflecting a strong light coming from the right, which creates a yellowish-white glow in the center of the object.
Details: On the lower section, near the handle or grip, there is a small circular detail with several black dots, similar to an old telephone dial or an ornamental design.
Nifhel information
Niflhel, also known as the Chaos of the Beginning or the Primordial Chaos, is the final realm. This place represents absolute nothingness. Being sent to Niflhel means that the soul is destroyed, preventing any form of reincarnation, while the body is reduced to dust within the void of space.
This process is believed to be irreversible and is perceived as a form of permanent death. Once sent to Niflhel, you will never return.
Demons, gods, and other supernatural creatures are automatically sent to Niflhel upon death, while humans go to Paradise. However, if a human dies in the afterlife, they are also sent to Niflhel.
Effects
Soul Destruction: Any soul that enters Niflhel is reduced to dust and scattered throughout space.
Niflhel (Niburuheru; lit. “Complete Annihilation of the Soul”), also known as the Chaos of the Beginning and the Primordial Chaos, is one of the realms in the universe of Record of Ragnarok, alongside Midgard, Helheim, and Valhalla. The term is often used as a synonym for the word “oblivion.”
It is the fate of all those who lose and die during the Apocalypse and Ragnarok.
