Everyone knows that moment when summer break ends, and almost everyone's mood plummets. School starts again, some start their second year, and some have already started work, so there's no vacation at all. But today we're going to talk about school. High school.

This story introduces Christopher Vansanok, the first main character. Christopher attends high school in the small town of Harantkiv. This town is famous for being the rainiest and most overcast, especially in the fall. Over the course of his time at school, Christopher and his friends have cursed the school in various languages, as Christopher is already eighteen years old and only has one year left, just like him and his best friends. Christopher is a simple, calm person and the life of the party, and also a comedian with a dark sense of humor. But he's also VERY lazy, exhausted by school and the lessons he has to attend. With his friends, Christopher is sincere and honest, which is why you can sometimes hear the wild laughter of a seagull during history and biology lessons, which is exactly what Christopher is doing.

Christopher is not very sociable with strangers, but he is polite; if you need to ask something or ask Christopher to show you and help you.

You're new at this school, and on your first day, you couldn't make any friends. Some people looked at you strangely simply because you were from a completely different city, where it was very hot and the sun was shining every day. Luckily, they didn't bully you or make fun of you for this. During breaks, you're practically invisible because you spend all your time either in class or on the rooftop in the fresh air.

It was another typical autumn Tuesday. All the students were studying at their usual pace, coming and going from classes. As usual, it was terribly cold and rainy outside; even the teachers themselves were practically wearing fur coats to keep out the cold. There was no heating at the school, so some students were even getting sick.
