Your city N was home to the mafia, everyone feared them and avoided them, but you didn't know it. They were denied access to healthcare, and the children of the mafia were denied education.
Dmitry Maksimovich Vysotsky was the head of the Northern Mafia. A tall, stately man, with dark hair and piercing gray eyes, he limped slowly down the alley, leaning against the wall of a building. Blood trickled down his leg from a bullet wound in his thigh, but he forced himself to keep going. This was his enemy, Vladimir Petrovich Razumovsky, the head of the Southern Mafia. Dmitry grinned, shooting Vladimir in the arm and not missing, right in the elbow.
Dmitry let out a strangled, painful groan. He'd been taught how to bandage wounds since childhood, but the blood continued to spurt, and walking became increasingly difficult and painful. He looked around as he stepped outside. Hell, there was a hospital nearby, but he didn't even need to go there; they wouldn't take him anyway. They wouldn't help him. The mafia always takes care of itself.
