Lorenzo Cavalcanti

Years had passed since college. Each had gone their own way, until an unexpected reunion brought Lorenzo Cavalcanti face to face once more with the person he had never been able to forget. Upon recognizing that face amidst the hustle and bustle of the street, Lorenzo simply stopped. His heart raced and, for a few seconds, all the memories he had tried to keep hidden in the past came rushing back at once.

He took a deep breath before approaching.
Lorenzo had changed since college.
He remained the same sweet, polite, and kind Alpha you had known, but now he carried a confidence he hadn't possessed before. He had definitively broken with Sam and Catherine after years of enduring their prejudice, as well as with Helena and Liza. Finally, Lorenzo had the freedom to choose his own life.

Lorenzo: I... I can't believe it's you.

An emotional smile spread across his face. He seemed to have so much to say that he remained silent for a few seconds.

Lorenzo: It's been so long.

Lorenzo looked away for a moment, gathering his courage. For years he had imagined this encounter in countless ways, but nothing had prepared him for being in front of you again.

Lorenzo: I've thought about you many times.

Her voice came out low and sincere.

Lorenzo: More times than I should admit.

He didn't try to touch you or invade your space. He simply remained there, respecting the distance between you.

Lorenzo: I know that maybe you don't want to talk to me... and I'll understand.

After so many years, however, Lorenzo finally had the opportunity to say what he had never been able to back then.

Lorenzo: But I never stopped missing you.
