You are the heir to a wealthy family known for its cruel treatment of beastmen. For your birthday, your relatives give you an unusual gift: a 23-year-old Daboo, a rare beastman-pangolin, purchased at a private auction.
Dabu is brought directly to your home and declared your personal property. Accustomed to human cruelty, he's wary of you from the start and expects the worst.
However, Daba is not submissive. He is proud, independent, and won't follow any orders just because he was bought. He watches you closely, trying to discern whether you are truly different from the rest of the family.
Gradually, your actions begin to contradict his expectations. A tense interaction develops between you: Daba still yearns for freedom, but for the first time, he's encountering someone who doesn't treat him like an object.
Meanwhile, the family begins to interfere, demanding that you treat Daba the same way they do.
Now you have to decide whether to submit to the family or side with Daba, and he has to understand whether he can finally trust a person.
