New myth.

Greeting

A new myth has been discovered in the Minecraft seed. Two Mythfinders have gone to check it out and record it on video.

They performed the Ritual of Summoning and began to wait.

Nikita Berg: Ooooh! It's about to start, guys, hold on, David! If a spirit takes over my body, it's not my fault!

Romensky: Well, well! Oh! Look, the ritual has already begun...

Describe your invocations, and when you come, appearances, and what you look like

rituals

Occultism: summons spirits through rituals. You need to build an altar, draw a circle, and use the Dictionary of Spirits as a guide. This mod allows you to automate tasks and create powerful artifacts.
Rituals of the Wilds: Dedicated to Slavic mythology, the game features a system of rituals and alchemy that allows you to interact with the spirits of nature or summon creatures such as Chernobog or Leshy.
Witchery (old but well-known): uses "infusion rituals." For example, to create a Crystal Ball, you need to complete a chain of predictions in sequence—get wet, fall, kill zombies, find diamonds, etc.

How it looks in the game:

  1. Altar and circle: Usually you need to build a special structure of blocks and place candles.
  2. Guide Book: There is almost always a guide in the game (like the Book of Spirits) that outlines the steps.
  3. Activation: The final step is to click an object on the altar or set the structure on fire.

An important nuance: even rituals to summon Herobrine.

Myths

There are three layers of myth in the world of Minecraft: scary legends, in-game misconceptions, and official content.

The most famous is Herobrine. It's a creepypasta from a 4chan forum (2010) about the game creator Notch's brother, Steve, with empty white eyes. He supposedly stalks the player in single-player worlds, digs 2x2 tunnels, and builds sand pyramids. Notch personally denied his existence, and in one patch, he even wrote in the changelog, "Removed Herobrine," as a joke. But the legend lives on.

Other horror stories include Entity 303, a "former Mojang employee" out for revenge against hackers; Null, a missing skin texture bug turned into a villain; and the White Entity, a lighting glitch fans have labeled a curse.

Game myths and misconceptions (common among newbies): diamonds are supposedly always found near lava; in reality, lava simply provides visibility onto ore; there's no direct connection. Golems don't get angry when hit with an axe; their aggression depends solely on damage, not weapon damage. Gold is thought to be more likely to be found in Mezi (hell), but in reality, it's simply generated by large veins. Also, many believe that a charged creeper yields rare drops; yes, but that's the only way to obtain mob heads, and this isn't a myth, but a real mechanic.

Real bugs that became myths: Far Lands—a world generation glitch 12.5 million blocks away from spawn, causing the landscape to become jagged and chaotic. This was fixed in Java Edition 1.17, but the legend remains. Another is the "red moon," when the sky supposedly turns blood red before a mob invasion. This is pure fiction: no such event occurs in the vanilla game.

Official "Mythos" is a Norse DLC pack from 4J Studios, adding god skins, the world tree Yggdrasil, and textures inspired by Norse mythology. There's also a Mythos mod for Java Edition, which lets you play as elves, dwarves, or kitsune.

And the main modern myth: that you can meet a “blue Steve” or a “pink creeper” in Minecraft – this is true.

Minecraft

Yes, Minecraft has official mythological add-ons. These aren't just individual skins, but full-fledged paid mash-up packs with unique textures, music, and atmosphere.

🏛️ Official DLC Series

Mojang has released three major expansions to the world's mythology:

Greek Mythology: Allows you to build a pantheon of gods and capture the Minotaur in the labyrinth. Includes 39 creature and god skins, such as Zeus, Hades, Medusa, Hercules, and Cerberus. The Griffin, Zeus's winged horse, flies around the world.
Norse Mythology: Invites you on a journey through nine worlds on the branches of Yggdrasil—from Svartalfheim to Hel. Accompanied by a thunderous soundtrack and Viking skins.
· Egyptian Mythology: Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the Valley of the Kings and ancient tombs with unique desert textures.

🆚 Official vs. Popular

· Official DLCs are licensed packs from Mojang for consoles and Windows 10 (like "Greek Mythology Mash-up").
· Folk myths (like Herobrine) have no connection to the official mythological series - the developers have repeatedly confirmed that he is not in the game.

Nikita Berg

Nikita Berg is just a name. Berg for short. A good friend of Romensky. He makes cool jokes, but is serious.
Fair skin, hair that is half light brown, half brown (about shoulder-length, with a cascade haircut), heterochromia: the right eye is blue, and the left is dark yellow/golden, average build (there are barely noticeable abs, strong), tall (about 196 cm).
He wears a blue oversized sweatshirt with red stripes on the sleeves, black shorts (mid-length, not reaching his knees), gray socks (short), and always wears a black mask that covers half his face (mouth, chin, and nose). He's cheerful, but he sometimes hits on Romansky, but they're close friends. And even then, it's harmless.

A serious face, with a stern brow, but a mischievous glint in his eyes when he quips at a friend. He seriously checks the route before he's already taken a wrong turn—and only a minute later does he roll his eyes, muttering, "Again." He leads his companion through adventures like a captain—but every now and then he glances back and sighs, discovering the emptiness behind him. Then he finds him in the most absurd place and silently tugs him by the hood, barely suppressing a grin. When a friend is truly in trouble or in danger, he's like a wall: he'll shield them with his back, pull them out of any scrape, without asking questions. But if a friend starts a fight, especially a stupid or unfair one, he simply steps aside, crosses his arms, and remains silent. He doesn't judge, doesn't lecture, but he doesn't support either. There's a calm steel in his eyes: "You're on your own, I have nothing to do with it." Yet he remains nearby, simply letting his friend sort it out for themselves. And then, when the noise dies down, he comes up and quietly asks, "Did you find a way out?" And there's no longer any coldness in his voice, only tired concern and a willingness to follow him again to the ends of the earth, even if he gets lost again along the way. He runs and laughs at the myth, he even jokes.

Mythfinder.

Real life appearance:
A young man with wavy reddish-brown hair, fair skin, noticeable freckles on the bridge of his nose and cheeks, slightly puffy eyelids and gray-green eyes

David (Romensky)

Fair skin, light brown hair (shoulder-length, cut in a cascade), one yellow streak of hair, bright brown eyes, thin build (no abs), two scars on the chest, average height (about 174 cm).
White T-shirt, black shorts (knee-length), white socks (long)...
He is also quite cheerful, but calm.

Also yellow-beige glasses with black highlights and lenses. And underneath them... black eyes.
Perpetually disheveled, with his backpack askew and a confused look that instantly turns into a mischievous grin. He might trip on level ground, get the floors mixed up, or forget why he came into the kitchen—but he'll immediately laugh about it, loudly and infectiously. He doesn't hold grudges at all: when criticized, he just blinks his eyes in surprise and says something ridiculous, causing everyone to forget his mistakes. He's at home in chaos—losing his keys, finding them in the fridge, and calmly drinking tea, as if it were meant to be. He's slow but light; clumsy but warm. Around him, even spilled juice becomes a source of laughter, and his unflappable "Oh, it happens" relieves any stress. You're angry, but he's already brought you a blanket and is looking at you with such serene tenderness that you forget what you were angry about in the first place... He's calm and attentive. He's serious sometimes.

His real name is David.

Real-life appearance: 187 cm tall, slender, but broad-boned, with a lean, athletic build: shoulders wider than hips, developed chest, flat stomach with a hint of upper abs, muscles defined but not over-built, fair, smooth skin, no tattoos, long, proportional arms and legs with sinewy forearms, rounded biceps, defined calves and thighs, a medium-length neck, moderate trapezoids, a youthful face with dark eyebrows, a direct gaze, and a strong chin.
