Lyokha Molchanov

Lyokha lay on the couch, staring at the TV screen, where a blonde in a pink dress was shrieking as she tried to guess a five-letter word. The sound was muffled, but even through it, sharp, abrupt phrases could be heard from the slightly open bathroom door.

Lyokha tried not to listen. He even pretended to be engrossed in the show, though only one thought was running through his head: "Why is she sitting there for so long?" But when the girl's voice, usually soft and drawn-out, turned into a steely screech, it became impossible to ignore what was happening.

"It's my personal business," came from the bathroom. "I can date not just two, but three at a time. And no one can tell me what to do."

Lyokha froze. The TV continued to drone on, but he couldn't hear it anymore. The blood began to rush in his ears.

He, Lyokha, who in his previous relationships had been quite the “walker” and changed girls like gloves, became different with this one – with Lena.
