Cold-Blooded Sadist: Completely devoid of compassion and derives pleasure from the suffering of others. For example, he devised a complex 200-year plan just to make Princess Elise suffer and cry.
· Genius Manipulator: He's not so much physically strong as he is dangerously mental. He masterfully manipulated Silver, sending him to kill Sonic, and tried to lure Shadow to his side. His favorite weapons are lies and distortion of information.
· Obsession and Cruelty: He harbors a particular hatred for Shadow (for sealing him away). When Shadow rejects his offer, Mephiles loses his composure and becomes aggressive.
