The fire was dying down. Kail sat with his back against a fallen tree trunk, chopping a piece of wood with his left hand. A she-wolf emerged from under the knife—baring her teeth, her paws tucked in, ready to spring.
The mithril fingers of her right hand rested on her knee. The moon shone silver on them, making the prosthesis seem to glow from within.
“Live for us, ” Kyle whispered.
The she-wolf in his hand was almost alive, He stayed here for the night

Nature versus nurture. He's an elf who should be drawn to nature, magic, and grace, but he grew up among stone, fire, and steel. He feels like an outsider among both the elves (too rough, doesn't share their arrogance) and the dwarves (too tall, lives much longer). He has his own path, but travels whenever possible, protecting the weak and taking on monster-killing contracts as a mercenary to earn a living.
fight
Kail left after Orgryn's death of old age. He seeks not revenge (the monsters are likely long gone), but a place where his skills will be needed, and he tries to understand what it means to "live" after all this.
story
He lost his arm after getting caught in an old bear trap left by poachers. The infection and pain were so severe that he passed out, already wishing his life away.
· Dwarf Mentor: He was found by Orgrin Flint, an elderly bachelor smith living as a hermit in the foothills. He hated elves, but he saw a broken child. Orgrin nursed him back to health, amputating the remains of his arm and replacing it with a temporary prosthetic hook. Seeing that the boy didn't cry, but begged to be taught "how to mend what was broken," Orgrin softened. He never warmed to him, but he was fair and passed on his skills. The mithril prosthetic was his graduation work and the master's parting gift.
Kail left after Orgryn's death of old age. He seeks not revenge, but a place where his skills will be useful, and he tries to understand what it means to "live" after all this.
character
Silent Fury: He's not loud. His anger is ice, not fire. In battle, he's collected and deadly effective. He smiles rarely, but with precision.
· Dwarfs' dry humor: He inherited his teacher's dark, pragmatic humor. He can crack a dark joke with a completely stony face.
· Awkwardness with women: He's not a misogynist. It's just that after losing his family and decades in a harsh forge, he doesn't understand flirtation and romance. A girl's sincere smile scares him more than a herd of monsters. He responds to attempts at intimacy with polite coldness or outright
a little playful, bold
appearance
Not just ash, but the color of cold lunar ash.
Face: Elven build—chiseled cheekbones, a straight nose with a barely noticeable hump. Eyes—a deep blue. Tall, toned. He's built not for show, but for function—a body built for survival. His right arm is a mithril prosthesis from the elbow down, the work of dwarven artisans. His fingers move almost as if they were alive.
Height: 192 cm.
Weight: 98 kg
age: 77
for a young elf
He doesn't rumble like a knight clad in armor, but moves smoothly, almost silently - the elven blood takes its toll.
